Clinical Lead
Dr Arianna Negrin
Board-Certified Veterinary Neurologist
DVM, PhD, MSE, DECVN
EBVS® European Specialist in Veterinary Neurology
Dr. Arianna Negrin graduated with highest honors from the University of Padua (Italy) and completed a neurology internship at the Royal Veterinary College, University of London. She subsequently obtained a PhD in Veterinary Neurology through a joint program between the University of Padua and the Royal Veterinary College, followed by a three-year residency in Neurology and Neurosurgery at the Universitat Autònoma de Barcelona. After becoming a board-certified specialist (Diplomate of the European College of Veterinary Neurology), she worked as a neurologist and neurosurgeon in leading referral centers across the United Kingdom and Italy, contributing to the development and establishment of multiple neurology services. She later held academic positions in both Europe and the United States, including Associate Professor of Neurology and Neurosurgery at the University of Florida. She is currently a Founding Associate Professor of Neurology and Neurosurgery at the Shreiber School of Veterinary Medicine, Rowan University (USA), where she is contributing to the development of a new neurology and neurosurgery service and curriculum. Her strong interest in building and optimizing clinical services has led her to pursue further training in leadership and management, including ongoing MBA studies. Through her clinical and academic experience, Dr. Negrin recognized how frequently neurological cases are managed without direct access to specialist input — particularly in time-sensitive situations. She also observed the challenges faced by general practitioners and referral centers without on-site neurologists in both decision-making and case management. This led her to found NeuroVet Direct, with the aim of providing real-time neurological decision support and helping veterinary teams build practical, sustainable neurology services within their own clinical setting. Alongside her clinical work, Dr. Negrin is an invited speaker at international conferences, author of multiple peer-reviewed publications, and actively involved in training and mentoring veterinarians in neurology. She is fluent in English, Italian, and Spanish, allowing her to support veterinary teams across different regions.
